The 2023 Camry marks the sixth year in production for this generation since its debut in 2018. Toyota’s sedans and crossovers typically follow a five-year life cycle but the 2023 Camry will remain largely unchanged.

Of course while the segment offers such compelling offerings including the Camry Accord K5 and Sonata fewer people are buying midsize sedans overall. SUVs are where they are now.
However, there are good reasons to stick with the sedan. They are generally more efficient especially hybrid. They’ll have larger rear seats and increased space between rows especially good for installing rear-facing car seats.
2023 Toyota Camry Space
The trunk of this Toyota is small compared to other midsize cars. The Camry has 15.1 cubic feet of space enough for a shopping bag or weekend luggage. If you want a car with a spongy trunk consider the Honda Accord.
Camry can seat five people. Comfortable seats are offered in both rows with plenty of head and legroom for adults to stretch out. The seats are well-cushioned and support longer drives. Furthermore, the driver has good outside visibility.

The Camry’s interior may be a bit over-styled, but you can’t say it’s boring, and we love that Toyota eschews large swathes of fake wood or metal nailed to fake wood or metal to maintain the look.

The Camry’s smartphone integration includes standard Apple CarPlay Android Auto and Amazon Alexa. Both the standard 7-inch and optional 9-inch infotainment touchscreens are easy to read and operate.
Built-in navigation is available on higher trims if desired. Three USB ports and options Adding a wireless charger should provide plenty of power for all occupants on the road.
All Camrys come with Toyota’s Safety Sense 2.5+ That’s an impressive suite of standard driver-assistance features such as adaptive cruise control automatic emergency braking and lane-keep assist. Previously some of these systems were too sensitive for our liking, but they have always improved and work better for 2021.
2023 Toyota Camry Performance
We tested the four-cylinder Camry SE. Toyota optimized it for high fuel economy but at the cost of rather slow acceleration off the line. Our test car sprinted from 0 to 60 mph in 8.2 seconds, though it felt more thrilling than in the real world.
This is The transmission helps make up for that with fairly good response and quick shifts. An eight-speed is always appropriate for the occasion, but when you’re trying to use the available engine power, expect a two-speed downshift when you put in the gas.
The Camry SE benefits from a slightly sportier suspension giving it a more composed feel. It’s not set up for really aggressive driving, but it can handle anything the average driver will encounter on a daily basis. The brakes are also easy to control light and responsive in The pedals and the Camry’s braking performance is about average for the segment.
2023 Toyota Camry Fuel economy
At the time of writing there are no 2023 fuel economy estimates for any Camry, but they’re unlikely to have changed much since the final 2022 estimates provided here. Fuel economy for the base engine depends on trim level and drivetrain.
