What we think the Mustang appreciates most is its loud 5.0 litter V-8 which requires either a GT model or a Mach 1. The latter has an extra 20 hp (480 hp total) compared to the regular GT model and its performance equipment from the Shelby GT500 makes it even more appealing to drive.
Unfortunately that puts its starting price near $54,000, so we recommend the regular GT coupe. Stick with the standard manual transmission, and we’d go for the GT Performance package which adds upgraded Brymbo front brakes
