The 2022 Honda Passport is very practical. Those who need more than two rows of seats may want to upgrade to the first cousin of the three-row Honda Pilot Passport, but otherwise the Passport is delightful in many ways.

2022 Honda Passport review
For 2022 Honda addressed one of our biggest complaints about the Passport: its anonymous appearance. It now has a bolder front end thanks to the thicker grille and squarer proportions and its front and rear bumpers look tougher.
The new Trail Sport model even has an off-road style Further equipped with an exclusive 18-inch wheel and tire combination. Plus it has a slightly wider front and rear track which Honda says improves stability.
The rest of the line-up has more subtle updates including a new standard rear seat reminder and the EX-L trim now has contrast stitching on it Leather seats. Like the Honda Ridgeline the Passport can now be equipped with the Honda Performance Development (HDP) Appearance Package which includes a unique black grille fender flares dedicated wheels and HDP graphics on the rear fenders.

Under the hood is the same 280-horsepower 3.5 litter V-6 and nine-speed automatic transmission as the Pilot. Those who want the all-terrain capability of all-wheel drive can add it for extra coin; otherwise the Passport is front-wheel drive.
The SUV has 7.5 inches of ground clearance (8.1 inches) in All-wheel-drive models the Passport can tow up to 5,000 pounds. However, the two-row Honda rides hard off-road and its high ride height results in a top-heavy demeanour.
The Passport was quick to sprint to 60 mph in 6.0 seconds in our test and dutifully Speed up on the highway. The ride is comfortable on most roads and the steering is very direct which makes the Passport feel nimble.
2022 Honda Passport Performance
The Passport excels in on-road driving experience. The standard V6 engine provides strong acceleration and the nine-speed transmission shifts smoothly.
Passports are also to display Better-than-average handling characteristics. Its well-weighted steering helps the SUV feel responsive and light in turns.
But there is room for improvement. While the brakes offer a consistent feel and are easy to modulate in everyday driving the pedals exhibit a bit of slack under hard braking. There are also some sharp turns that can make a sudden stop uncomfortable.
2022 Honda Passport fuel economy and MPG
Available with a single engine choice and front- or all-wheel drive the Passport has two different EPA estimates. Front-drive models are expected to get 20 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway. Passport with all-wheel drive fared slightly worse at 19 mpg city and 24 mpg highway.

2022 Honda Passport Interior
Anyone who has experienced the interior of the Ridgeline will be immediately familiar with the Passport’s cabin. Despite the unremarkable design the materials are attractive enough and the controls are well organized – although we would have liked more knobs and buttons than a touchscreen control.
The front seats are spacious and comfortable with easily adjustable armrests for optimum comfort. The back seat is also spacious, and the passport can carry up to five people. 41 cubic feet of storage space behind the rear seat for 15 pieces of carry-on luggage suitcase.
Folding the row unlocks 78 cube spaces for a total of 33 bags. Indoor cubby storage is often very useful thanks to useful bins throughout the cabin and a huge centre, and console bin.
2022 Honda Passport Comfort
Passport is spacious and comfortable. While the Passport has a slightly stiffer ride than the related Honda Pilot its suspension manages large body movements and small bumps just as well. The front seats don’t offer much support, but they’re wide enough to provide hours of comfort. This The reclining rear seats are also quite comfortable.
We also like the Passport’s quiet cabin; wind and tire noise is minimal. The three-zone climate control system works just as well as the heated and ventilated seats (it remembers your last setting when the vehicle started).

The Passport is very roomy at 41.2 cubic feet behind the second row. Fold the rear seats, and you have 77.9 cubic feet of space. (Note that you may also see Honda listing 50.5 and 100.7 cubic feet due to different measurements.) But the load height is a bit high.
For child safety seats even bulky rear-facing seats have plenty of room to fit. Car seat anchors are easily accessible.
