The 2022 Kia Forte GT is a compact sedan with a sporty twist. It’s got a powerful turbocharged engine, sharp handling and an aggressive design. The interior is well-equipped with plenty of high-tech features. The price is not yet announced, but it’s expected to be competitive with other compact sedans in its class.

The Forte GT belongs to Kia’s GT model line and is the sportiest version of its cars. Kia equipped the Forte GT with a turbocharged 1.6 litter four-cylinder engine 18-inch alloy wheels that develop 201 and 195 lb-ft of torque a stiffer sports suspension and a sports exhaust system.
Double exit The setup is very loud at cold start, which we think will appeal to buyers looking for a more enthusiastic compact than the regular Forte. The model we tested came with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, but Kia also offers a standard GT manual trim comes with a six-speed manual transmission and Michelin Pilot Sport 4 summer tires for $1,000+.

GT models are the only ones available with turbocharged engines. This model comes with a seven-speed DCT and paddle shifters. The largest 18-inch wheels feature LED projection headlights with high-beam assist and sporty twin tailpipes that feature chrome tips on this model.
Red Cross-stitching on the seats creates a sportier look, and rear passengers now also get rear air-conditioning vents. Ambient lighting and an illuminated glove box are also added to the list of features.
2022 Kia Forte GT Performance
The Forte GT will be in my driveway. I’ve been casually buying my next car and thought something with about 200 horsepower and a dual-clutch transmission would be ideal – usually imagine something similar in performance to the latest Volkswagen GTI. The two pedals are First choice since I have two drivers in my family who don’t like or can’t drive manuals, the Forte GT stands out when reading the automaker’s website.

In normal use, the Forte GT is the perfect commuter car. Interior comfort is good in both the front and rear compartments, and the controls are easy to grasp. The 10.25-inch touchscreen is as good as any other Kia, with real knobs for volume control and excellent redundant controls on the steering wheel.
This Premium Harmon/Kardon branded stereos sound great for these ears, and I appreciate the wireless charging pad and Android Auto/Apple CarPlay compatibility. Oddly, the larger touchscreen on this GT trim doesn’t offer wireless Android/Apple – a cable is required. Lower trim 8-inch screen but can connect wirelessly.

Interior materials are excellent considering the comfortable Syntax (a decent faux leather) seats in the price range and the padded steering wheel, both of which are upholstered with red stitching. Boot space is also a highlight—anything at 15.3 cubic feet can be tucked into the cargo hold.
Red (because red is fast, back, right?) adorns the grille and surrounds the stacked LED fog lights with a crimson flash. Aside from the GT-exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels and a small badge at the back, there’s nothing to let onlookers know you’re in Certified Express.
That’s probably a good thing because while the GT gets 54 hp more than the standard Forte and compared to the standard CVT it’s still not what I’d call fast. Also,
The extra horsepower doesn’t produce a car that wants to be driven in any situation in That kind of enthusiastic attitude. The Forte GT pulls out of corners well, but the handling is so dull and lacking in communication that you won’t find yourself looking for interesting roads in the first place.

Of course, the handling is tuned for understeer — it’s a mass-market compact sedan. But other front-seat drivers like the aforementioned GTI feel like they want to be driven. Even company cousin Hyundai knows what it takes to make the platform dance when the N badge is applied.

The Kia Forte GT is a compact sedan that was first introduced in 2019. It’s based on the Kia Stinger GT and shares its platform with the Hyundai Elantra GT.
The Forte GT is powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque.
