Overview Hyundai accent 2022
Just because a car is cheap doesn’t mean it needs to look cheap, and the 2022 Hyundai Accent offers dignified styling despite its low price. We like it so much that we named it our Editors’ Choice list. All models feature a 120-horsepower four-cylinder engine with continuous Variable automatic transmission (CVT).

It’s not exciting, but functional, it gets the job done and does so while sipping fuel. The interior is also bland but functional, offering modern conveniences and even some luxuries. Loaded Limited models cost less than $21,000 and offer heated seats Touchscreen infotainment and push-button start.
No matter which trim you choose, the Accent’s look is mature and modern, saving you the embarrassment of being cast out as a miser.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance
The Accent’s 1.6-liter four-cylinder makes 120 horsepower and drives the front wheels via a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). The four-cylinder is new for 2020 we haven’t tested it, but we expect performance similar to the 2018 and 2019 models of 130 horsepower.

It’s clear that ride comfort takes precedence over nimble handling. The Accent still feels snappy, its small body is easy to throw into corners, and it’s even beneficial when it’s pushed around. Suspension smooths rough roads adequately, but hard hits create vibrations through the cabin.

We haven’t had a chance to pass the Accent’s new powertrain through our real-world highway fuel economy tests, but When we do, we’ll use it on our 75-mph highway fuel economy test course and update this story with the test results. Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
The Accent’s mature interior looks well-built but lacks the cheeky styling of the Kia Rio or the spaciousness of the rear seats of the Honda Fit — the latter offering nearly 6 inches of extra rear legroom. Accent has a clean interior design that is simple and honest. Both of us,built, The test car had a black interior that, while well-built, had a serious look.
The optional beige interior lends a richer feel, with two-tone tan and black seats and a similar treatment of the dash and door panels. Despite its sedan body and smaller cargo space With the rear seats in use, the Accent has more room for our carry-on luggage than its more practical hatchback, the Rio.
In fact, with the rear seats folded, the Accent is only two boxes less than the extra roomy Fit.
