Both are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission gearbox, but the more powerful engine brings steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters and upgraded cooling components. The Bronco Sport can also tow 2000 to 2200 pounds.
Top Wasteland trim levels include a variety of exclusive equipment, including a dual-clutch rear drive unit With differential lock. It also features all-terrain tires mounted on 17-inch wheels and a 1.0-inch suspension lift for increased ground clearance and beefier dampers.
We’ve driven the Bronco Sport Badlands and noticed that its strong steering and firm ride make it feel like a truck, but not particularly smooth and smooth on the highway. Its off-road capability also exceeds expectations, but keep in mind that it still has limitations until you try to tackle the Rubicon Trail.
Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG

Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
The interior of the Bronco Sport has an attractive design and many welcome features. The little Ute also boasts impressive space and several clever innovations. Although it has a shorter wheelbase than the Escape, the baby Bronco has an upright seating position and a decent amount of rear seats’ legroom.
Likewise, its roofline rises at the rear, providing extra headroom and enough cargo capacity to accommodate two mountain bikes. The cargo compartment can also be equipped with a slide-out desk that doubles as a workspace a 400-watt power inverter and LED lights built into the inside of the rear doors provide overhead lighting.
The rear door features a glass hatch and a built-in bottle opener. Badlands models come with washable rubber floors and easy-to-clean upholstery, but the floor material looks ugly. Another neat trick is the storage compartment located underneath their backseat.
Infotainment and Connectivity
Every Bronco Sport features an 8.0-inch touchscreen that supports Ford Sync 3 software. It comes standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but can be upgraded with SiriusXM satellite radio and a B&O audio system.
In addition to touch-sensitive controls and voice commands of the infotainment system, The interface can be operated using hard buttons as well as volume and tuning knobs.
Safety and Driver-Assistance Features
The Bronco Sport comes with a host of driver-assistance technologies, including standard forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking.
